Amrapali Jewels is having an exhibition of pieces inspired by the Royalty of Jaipur, and their ancestry. The exhibition will be held on the 8th, 9th & 10th of December, at the Amrapali Flagship Store on Kasturba Road, Mithra Towers, (08022221622), between 11 am & 7pm.

The Gold Jadaau Necklace will be unveiled at the screening of this capsule collection, was the show stopper at Amrapali’s fashion show during IIJW (India International Jewelry Week) – India’s largest International & National jewelry event, held in Mumbai last week.

Kangana Ranaut walked the ramp in this breath taking piece, also referred to as the “bib necklace”- as it takes the form of a choker and falls flat like a bib around one’s neck- giving you the perfect fit. Made of Polki Diamonds, Gold and intricate Mughal Enamel, this piece is one of the brand’s most valued, this season.

Amrapali will also be showcasing other such pieces that dazzled the ramps at IIJW, adorning top models like Candice Pinto, Aanchal Kumar, Naithra Raguram and Mashoom Singha.

The Five Lined Diamond Pearl Necklace worn by Sonam Kapoor at IIJW is one of Amrapali’s most cutting edge designs this Season, inspired by shoulder & waist ornaments that adorn Ancient Indian Sculptures & figurines.

This piece is of Uncut Diamonds and flowing strings of South Sea Pearls, held together at the waist & shoulder by a flexible Gold Mesh, taking the form of the wearer’s shoulder & waist. So exquisite in design, a piece that the industry has yet not seen, it flew off the shelves right after the show.

Gold Cuffs are another hit this Season, and very popular amongst some of the country’s A list celebrities. In fact Deepika Padukone was recently spotted in this Cuff at her appearance on Simi Garewal’s, ‘India’s Most Desirable’. Amrapali unveiled their exquisite collection ‘Best of Amrapali’ with Kangana Ranaut as the show stopper, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai on the occasion of India International Jewellery Week (IIJW).

Kangana Ranaut looked regal in an elaborate uncut diamonds set in traditional Rajasthani Jadau Jewellery was also wearing a creation by Masaba Gupta, who had designed the entire collection exclusively for the show. There was an eclectic mix of black, white, red and gold in indo-western silhouettes yet understated to enhance Amrapali’s intricately designed jewellery.

The collection showcased the ‘Best of Amrapali’ – a beautiful range of authentic Silver, Art Deco and Gold jewellery. The collection included pendants, cuffs, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, rings with an array of styles and choices in every ornament and a bold accent of colors and unique designs. The shapes and styles were ornate – curving, twisting and turning. Ornate hair ornaments adorned the models as they walked the ramp a la the royals.
