Pegasus is the trademark holders of the Miss South India title; will be organizing the tenth edition of Miss South India Contest. The finals of the beauty pageant will be held at the cultural capital of Kerala, Thrissur. The event will be conducted at Lulu International Convention Centre, Thrissur on 9th of January 2013.
Miss South India is not just another beauty contest. Attracting talents from all over South India, it reflects the culture and tradition of South India. The pageant showcases South India in its entire splendor and magnificence. Auditions will be held in Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Kerala. The title winner will take home a cash prize of 100,000 Indian rupees and there are many more prizes to be won. The title winner and the first two runners up qualify directly to Manappuram Miss Queen of India, a national level beauty contest.
The last edition of the Miss South India Pageant, which was conducted in Kochi, was a big success. Laxmi Anand from Bangalore won the coveted crown, and Elizabeth Thadikaran from Kerala and Yamini Chander from Chennai became the first and second runners up respectively.
