Piercing Pet Peeves

A rage among the Gen Y, piercings are perceived as one of the most evolved forms of body art that adorn different body parts and add on to one’s glam appeal in a jiffy. The conventional nose and ear piercings have paved way for the more bewitching chin and tongue piercing, edgy piercing on the eyebrows and of course the sensual piercings on the belly button that look dazzling.

There are umpteen piercing studios all over that practice the art with utmost care and precaution, yet one has to be cautious once the piercing is done. Here are a few handy tips that can help prevent any wounds or infections
• Rinse the mouth, at least 6 times a day with an anti-bacterial mouthwash after until a week of oral piercing

• Before touching the pierced area, it is essential to clean hands

• Using a cotton pad or a gauze pad to wipe around the pierced zone is important

• Use a dermatologist recommended solution in case a wound or an infection develops

Remember, personal hygiene goes a long way in ensuring that the flashy jewel on your body grabs several eyeballs.
