The 9th edition of Seagram’s Blenders Pride Fashion Tour Bangalore edition was kick started by Falguni & Shane Peacock. Falguni and Shane Peacock Spring-Summer 2014 Line edgily showcases this along with the fact that we all need that oomph; that slight spark to make that change.
“Our collection is basically an extended version of our New York Fashion Week collections,” explains Falguni and Shane. “Style is something that you inherit and we have taken care to bring this out through the edginess we have inserted into each of our garments. There is a lot of eveningwear, red carpet clothing and more, within which we have added the element of drama. We wanted spring, which is subtle and soft, to look more edgier in our ensemble.”
Opposites attract in this eclectic line, as fantasy meets reality, punk meets futuristic and softness meets the edge. Blues, whites, beiges, off whites, pinks, blacks and greys meet feathers, sequins and sheer floral combinations in a very potent and heady permutation.
Extensive designs, daring hues, curious contours, material amalgamation, gorgeous prints, peek-a-boo feels and metallic arrangements endow every outfit with a futuristic yet feminine touch.
“The new looks are inspired by punk and rock and yet the signature feel of Falguni and Shane Peacock comes through every creation,” says Falguni and Shane. Speaking about their association with Blenders Pride, they describe the reach of an event like this and how it is what works best in BPFT every year. “It’s about reaching out to people. We get to choose cities where we want everyone to be aware of our brand. And Blenders Pride is doing this in a big way. Reaching out to places we didn’t think possible.”
The range of garments includes plenty of laser cut outs on mesh dresses and sexy pieces to adorn oneself in. Robot chic truly makes its way to the futuristic girl in all of us.
The Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2013 is executed by talent that is world class- Alison Kanuga for choreography, Ambika Pillai for hair & makeup and only the finest runway models.
