Economies of Wardrobe

Most of us often come across the high flung fashion brands that stock your dream dresses and other apparel but the swanky price tags are too dark a cloud for this silver lining. But whoever understands style, would agree that one has to have an eye for dressing and not a perky wallet. Mix and match the right pieces, throw some contrasting clothes together and add a touch of funky accessories and you can set the street on fire without burning your pocket. Here’s how we do economy dressing

Settle for Classics
Invest in a few standard pieces such as a well fitted black formal trouser, a pair of smart bootleg/ skinny jeans. A classic and elegant white shirt ( not a see through fabric) is a must have for any woman’s wardrobe. A seductive black dress in a length of your choice and not to forget a basic shrug to compliment different attires are few picks that can add definition to your wardrobe.

The art of mix and match
Tickle your aesthetic nerves and dress smart. Rather than following the season’s trends blindly, set your own fashion phenomena. Mix and match clothes according to the occasion. For eg, combine a shimmer filled top with a formal black trouser and some smoky eye make up to look like a diva

Stich your style
Check out the wholesale fabric markets and scout for interesting patterns, shades and fabrics that are easy on pocket and get them tailored to perfection. Not only will this save ample moolah but will also ensure well fitted garments and novelty in your wardrobe.

Scouting Sales
If you simply can’t let go of your brand loyalty, resort to a smarter way of shopping. Keep a tab of the sale season for your favourite brands and pick more from less money. This may require you to be patient; however those extra shopping bags are a great incentive.
