Creme and Crust | The Mandis Review

If we were to make a word puzzle with words like hungry pigs, sunday brunch, cosy place and a dent in the wallet, the words that connect these perfectly would be Crème and Crust!

Crème and crust does justice to your Sunday brunch cravings by excelling at every Sunday requirement of yours with a subsequent hole in your pocket 😉 The Mandis headed to this place on 100 Ft road Indiranagar to sit back, talk and  relax on a Sunday morning. The place is pretty tiny and has tables that can seat mostly two people at a time, but despite that the place is well done and has a cozy feel to it.The menu is quite elaborate(goes on for around 8-9 pages) and the spread is pretty good, from pastas, burgers, and what not.

We tried the All American Breakfast from amongst a variety of breakfast options. Service was pretty quick, but then again the place wasn’t crowded. The presentation of the food was eye catchy – it literally took us through the much talked about “happy experience” of seeing the waiter walk towards you with your food! The portions here are huge, the hungry hogs who frown over plated brunch are most welcome here.

The spread was not only endearing to the eyes, but the taste buds were mighty pleased as well. Juicy sausages, scrambled eggs done right, a lovely breadbasket with croissants, grilled tomatoes, sauted mushrooms, potato croquettes, fresh fruit juice, fresh cream and oh, we’re already too full thinking about them.

We also ordered a Mexican Omlette , which was served with tortillas, pepper, salsa, and chicken sausages. ( you can also go for bacon). While the American breakfast comes with a breadbasket, this comes with two slices of bread. Although it seemed like it wouldn’t be as filling as the amercian breakfast, we were quite wrong!!

On another occasion, we tried a margherita  pizza and found the quantity to be quite less, or maybe that was because we were extra hungry. 😛

What truly disappointed us was the price which is high apart from 10% service charge + 14.5% VAT.(the place is not even air conditioned)

Overall, we had a good experience and would definitely want to go back to try out the rest of the items from their vast menu.
