With the accolades season at its brim, Bollywood had all the reasons to bask in the glory of celebration when the 57th annual Film Fare awards were announced for the best performances of the year.

In order to commemorate the occasion, a hoard of stars was present at the do.

The event witnesses the hottest upcoming faces, the legends, relishing the nostalgia and of course the current performers who squeezed the lady to their heart with overwhelming giggles and teary eyes.

The entire swish set dressed in enticing nine yards or serenading gowns and tuxedos enjoyed the event that had some brilliant performances and of course humour laden hosts who kept the audience in a lighter mood all through the evening.

The felicitated actors included the powerhouse performer Vidya Balan who won accolades for her performance as sultry Silk in the raunchy Dirty Picture and Ranbir Kapoor who managed to sway the audience with is excellent performance in the box office blockbuster Rockstar.

Actor –director Farhan Akhtar and his sister Zoya Akhtar also bagged awards for their movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

The other movies to score among he audience were the hilariously entertaining Delhi Belly that had a clear cut 11 nominations.

The lovely ladies who serenaded the red carpet included the eternal beauty Madhuri Dixit who was dressed in her elegant best and was accompanied by her non-filmi husband.

Karishma Kapoor who looked absolutely stunning in a white shimmer sari also rendered a gig performance alongside sister Kareena, Vidya Balan and the ever gracious Rekha.

The hot stomper Bipasha Basu exemplifying sensuality with her gold tone dress was also present at the event besides the southern siren Asin who was all smiles for shutterbugs.

After venturing into the hospitality industry with a state of the art lounge LAP, the hottest start of the tinsel town, Arjun Rampal, embarked on yet another journey, by launching a perfume under his brand.

The opulent occasion was held at popular joint Aurus in Juhu, Mumbai. Actor, Producer Arjun Rampal, along with his ever enchanting wife Mehr Rampal, launched two signature perfumes named, Alive White, a perfume especially designed to be worn during the day hours and has under notes of citrus flavours such as Mandarin, Bergamot, Lemon and Alive Black, which is a bit more sensual with subtle aquatic notes and a hint of pepper and has been designed to be worn at night. The series has been coined eau de toilettes by Arjun Rampal and have been moderately priced at INR 1800 for a 100ml bottle.

The event witnessed some of the biggest names in the industry gracing the launch with their presence.

The list of Arjun’s close friends included Shahruk’s wife, Gauri Khan who came minus the superstar himself, Hrithik and Suzzane Roshan, actor Sushmita Sen who sizzled in shiny blue number, actor Preity Zinta, hotelier Vikram Chatwal, actor Prateik Babbar along with the leading lady of his next film, the very exotic Amy Jackson, director Abhishek Kapoor, yesteryears lady Neelam along with Sameer Soni, the young and happening Kunal Kapoor, actor Zayed Khan, and the sensually stimulating Chitrangada Singh.

Could you please share, how and when did you decide to get into modeling?

I would say that modeling just happened to me; I never thought that I wanted to become a model. It was all of a sudden I started getting offers. So I went with the flow.

When did you get your first career break as a model?

I still remember how an agent spotted me 4 years back for a magazine shoot and that is how it all started.

Could you please tell us about the relationship you share with Bangalore?

Except the traffic and the night life, Bangalore is a lovely city to live. I love its weather also the city is kept clean. I like Bangalore more than any other cities in India because I am very comfortable here. In addition to all of these I have someone very special from Bangalore, so you know what I mean! I feel like home.

According to you how fashionable is Bangalore?

In comparison to cities like Mumbai or Delhi Bangalore is not fashionable. But these days as many youngsters want to be fashionable, I think it’s everywhere. Fashion is in the air.

What are your pet peeves?

Fake people, lies, big mouth and people who are always bothered about others life. It’s so annoying.

Please share something about you as a person?

I would call myself as a Crazy person, with my group of friends I am very out-going and fun to be with. Well I am not much of a party person, I am very homely, I like to spend my week ends or free time staying at home watching movies or listening to songs.

Could you please share the experience to be featured in magazines like; Maxim, FHM, Femina, The Man etc?

It feels really good to be featured in those magazines. And it’s always a different experience, I love and enjoy my work to the core.

You have been in the fashion industry from a very long time. Please comment on the dynamism of this.

I think everyone knows how fashion and glamour industry is. So no words to describe.

How important is a fitness regimen to a model? Could you please share your fitness regimen with us?

Fitness regimen plays a very important role, as the model has to have a perfect body and Should be in good shape. Diet, gym etc has to be followed to stay fit. But when it comes to my case I would call myself as, blessed naturally. Lucky me! I am a foodie, I eat a lot. I have never been on a diet or worked out ever.

Do you think that Bangalore is a right platform to get into fashion or modeling?

I would say that Bangalore is a right place to start off with. Many actors and models have started from Bangalore. So why not? But it’s not the right place to continue if someone has real big dreams.

What is your advice to upcoming models?

I would love to wish all of them all the very best. Well, it’s their life so they know it better.
