Animal Prints

Animal prints are in. They keep coming back every now and then, and are always glamorous. But, it’s not a wardrobe essential and it’s not for everyone. If you cannot carry the look, it can turn out to be a fashion disaster.

Zebra and leopard prints are the most common ones. Colors like red look cool with zebra prints. These prints are not restricted to tops or dresses, sometimes zebra prints are also seen in saris. In India it is leopard or cheetah prints that are making the rounds. The recent trend however, is to have a different base color.  These prints are worn in movies and shoots too, to add to the tribal look. They definitely stand the test of time and are oh-so popular. They are especially famous among the young crowd as it makes them look exceptional and dashing. Models prefer animal prints in their lingerie to bring in a wild look. It is also considered to be a status symbol with the style catering to the rich and famous.

Many feel that wild prints look great on accessories than clothes.  They don’t pull in lots of attention but at the same time it appears chic.  Leopard printed bags, shoes and even boots are a craze with many fashionstas. Hence, if you are wearing it for the first time, try it on accessories as you will not appear too conscious.  Do not mix two or three prints together as you may end up looking too busy. If you are wearing a belt, choose dark colors and that applies for shoes as well. But, never wear flashy or colorful accessories with animal prints as it tends to spoil the balance.

Colors like black, red or gold look great with animal prints as they ground them.  As the print is loud in itself, it is advisable to keep the make-up subtle.  Since these prints can grab attention it is recommended not to go overboard. Less can be more when it comes to animal prints. Nevertheless, red lips can look hot with animal prints. The key is to make ‘fake’ look ‘real,’ after all saving an animal does make a difference.

Ultimately, the whole look depends on how you put it together. You can be as unique or as classy as you are, by knowing how to combine it.  Animal prints can be real fun to add bold new ways to your look. Give it a try to see why there is so much craze for animal prints.
