The shimmering lights at the Lalit Ashok, Bangalore, witnessed a galore of scintillating beauties at the Max Miss Bangalore Pageant held on October 7, 2011. The competition was a close shave with an array of talented contestants competing for the crown. The thrill and excitement was put to culmination with ‘Anookya Harish’ bagging the coveted title. Swetha Janakiraman and Noyonita Lodh were crowned the first and the second runner ups respectively.
The title for Miss Beautiful skin was awarded to ‘Ruby Naaz’ whereas the leading lady Anookya walked away with the titles for’ Miss Photogenic’ and ‘Miss Beautiful Hair’. Following her footsteps ‘Noyonita Lodh’ clinched the award for ‘Miss Catwalk’. The titles for ‘Miss Figure’ and ‘Miss Beautiful Eyes’ were bagged by ‘Vandana Varadarajan’ and ‘Elina Mathew’ respectively.
The event was adjudged by a highly acclaimed panel of judges including Vasanth Kumar, who is also the executive MAX, Shibani Kashyap, renowned actress Ragini Dwivedi, Krishna Lulla and Nadira Iqbal. The power packed event was an entertainment extravaganza where the likes of singer Shibani Kashyap and the contemporary dance group Nrityarutya enthralled the audience with breath-taking performances.
Keeping the mood of the evening, famous designer ‘Sheetal Verma’ also showcased her new collection for Max, which saw the Miss Bangalore contestants walking the ramp in her stylish outfits. The collection was a brilliant amalgamation of ethnic and contemporary designs and had underlying elements of the rich Bohemian art.
